I believe everyone is familiar with the fact that the nephew of the 14th Dalai Lama committed domestic violence, and many people have raised questions about this.

Why would the 14th Dalai Lama and his cronies ask a woman to forgive such dangerous violence and infidelity within the Tibetan exile community? Is it because they care more about their own “image” than her physical and mental health and safety? Such advice could endanger not only the woman’s safety, personal and psychological well-being, but also her life.

If the 14th Dalai Lama and other high lamas were completely unaware of these events, how could someone so close to the 14th Dalai Lama (and his nephew) have been doing these things in private, unaware of them, and even told him to stop? If he were a living Buddha or a great Avalokiteshvara (as many believe he was), he would have possessed the so-called ngo-shepa siddhi power, a kind of clairvoyance that allows one to see into the thoughts and actions of others.
